💀 Character Information
Name: Bill Cipher
Canon: Gravity Falls
Canon Point: Right after Stanley Falcon-Punches him to death.
Age: At least 1 trillion years
Description: Bill Cipher is a floating triangle. That's pretty much it. Oh wait, no, he also has one single eye, noodle-like legs and arms, a bow-tie, and a top hat. His bottom 'half' is also patterned much like a pyramid would be. Occasionally, he'll summon a cane, more for emphasis than anything.
Physical changes: There are a few cracks in him now. Stanley punched his soul.

Powers: Bill can summon fire at will, but he mostly uses it to look cool when he's solidifying a deal. The fire is blue in color and usually won't hurt you - unless he's angry. Then it'll turn red and hurt, as fire is prone to do.

He can sneak into people's dreams to chat them up; he used to be able to manipulate dreams to a degree as well, but that went out the window when he gained a physical form. But what he sees will tell him a lot about a person's character, which he's a decent judge of.

His knowledge is memetic, having grown with each image of himself drawn or otherwise planted in the 3rd dimension. He can't see anything through these images anymore, but over a trillion years, he's learned enough that he could be a reliable source of information if not for the fact he's a compulsive liar. He's especially well-versed in government conspiracies and ciphers.

He also has the ability to enter peoples' minds and possess them entirely. However, he can only do this if the other person consents and shakes his hand. Nowadays, people are a lot more resistant to that than he'd like. (There's a permissions post for these last two things.)

History: Boop!
Hell Status: Newbie.
What Brings Them To Hell: "Liberated" his dimension, tricked a handful of people into bending to his whims for his own goals, tried to make Earth one giant rave party, and turned a town's denizens to stone to make himself a sweet throne. Also, he killed the last Time Giant. Who was a baby. So he literally killed a baby. What a jerk.

The Pitch:
  • He's a snappy dresser! No really, even his entry in Stanford Pines' journals make note of this. But mainly, he's a manipulative little bastard who only cares about instant gratification and getting drunk on time punch. His end-game is to create a world where there are no rules, "a party that never ends with a host that never dies". He's a little too confident sometimes.
  • Bill's entire existence has essentially been a string of broken promises and Faustian deals with poor, unsuspecting saps that fall victim to his smooth-talking ability to pander to egos, insecurities, secret desires - you name it. Depending on the person in question, he'll either appear to them cracking jokes about how much they look like a ventriloquist dummy or offer them a comfy chair, some tea, and a game of chess.
  • Insane? Sure he is, what's your point? Bill has a very cheeky, nonsensical sense of humor based on making other people uncomfortable. Gifts he's given people include teeth freshly ripped out of the mouth of a deer or a head that is constantly screaming. One of his hobbies is constantly asking 'why' until someone breaks down sobbing uncontrollably. Pain is hilarious to him! Slamming someone's arm in a drawer and impaling it with forks, falling down the stairs while stiff as a board to win a race, encouraging people to pour pureed jalapeno peppers in their eyes - it's all fun and games to him.
  • He's ambitious, persistent, yearning, and when his plans go awry or he misses a chance, he's prone to tantrums. Incredible tantrums where he'll chase down two children to make them into corpses, use them as bargaining chips, and torture people with their worst fears.
  • He's easily tricked when he's on a power binge. That's the whole reason he managed to get himself trapped in Stanley's mind and punched to death. Outwitted by a conman. Tsk tsk.
Setting Fit: He's going to complain. A lot. He spent one trillion years trying to get out of a place like this, and to get so far only to come careening right back to where he started is going to make him a little prickly.

He might settle into the scenery well, but he'll fight the system every chance he gets. Bill absolutely abhors rules and structure, and he'll push the boundaries as far as they can go just because he can. He will definitely be a constant anti-establishment presence, especially when it comes to paying off debts.

On the bright side, he'll probably throw some sweet raves and parties once he gets completely settled. The guy knows how to entertain.
